The original Miami Touchdown Club was founded in 1959 with one of its missions to assist South Florida high school football players in their efforts of reaching the next educational level through scholarship opportunities. Reorganized as the South Florida Touchdown Club Foundation, Inc in 2005 as a 501c3 charitable foundation, our mission continues to facilitate this purpose. This effort is known as “Operation Scholarship” throughout South Florida high school football programs.
Our efforts have been in effect for nearly 50 years in various forms. Now the foundation has contracted with Florida Student Athlete Profile Services to better market our student athletes. This interactive web-based platform is being used to provide an exceptional, state of the art program. We provide this service at no cost to high school athletes and coaches. Over 1200 colleges and their recruiters are provided free access to our web-based platform as well.
Operation Scholarship is fully funded and maintained for the sole purpose of improved communication between high school and college coaches. Our ultimate goal is to provide maximum exposure to all South Florida football players and thereby provide more scholarship options for them.
